I assist with the management of external resource management within talent acquisition. This involves attending their operational reviews to help them achieve performance excellence. I am also involved with the apprentice committee, so we assist with the running and organisation of apprentice events which vary from education calls to presentation calls.
Yes, I have been able to do so. I have learned how to navigate Microsoft outlook, which has allowed me to form constructive emails to develop my ever improving communication skills. Equally, I am learning how to optimise Microsoft excel to analyse data. This has allowed me to enhance my data analytics skills fully.
I really enjoy the programme, I am on. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in a variety of tasks within your job description; allowing us to explore what works for us. We also have plenty of opportunities to network and connect outside of our immediate teams to further take advantage of the apprenticeship.
It is structured, we are informed of which areas of the business in which we will be operating in within our apprenticeship. We are also given advance notice of any extracurricular events that are going to enable us to manage our time effectively. There is enough structure to allow us to explore.
I recieve plenty of support from my employer, from managers, senior managers in the form of mentors to designated contacts in the apprenticeship cohorts in the years above. this allows a support network that is varied from informal to formal allowing a strong support network which is fit for purpose.
The support is varied, they are very good in ensuring that we have allocated time to study and that we are safe and supported in the workplace in which we operate in. The support in terms of studying could be better with a more depth understanding of what we need to do for assessments.
Really well, it is great to have an understanding of the work I do in an education setting and achieve the allocated qualification in the profession that I want to work in. It gives me more insight to understand the role I am currently doing and future roles I aspire to do.
Yes, there are many employee resource groups in which we are actively able to assist with the preparation of events, presenting and networking. We also have access to social activities and are encouraged to meet up and network with other apprentices and others in the business, both in-person and virtual.
Yes
AstraZeneca is a global organisation that can, at times can be very imitating; however, the level of support ensures that you can transition to the organisation and feel comfortable. This provides many plenties of opportunities that can stem from the big organisation allowing you to develop fully as an individual.
I would highly recommend that you bring your authentic self and show your personality throughout your application to the interview. This will help you be your authentic self throughout your process during your time at AstraZeneca, which we promote within AstraZeneca; it is much easier to be yourself than someone else.
