  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • When I login in the morning I check my emails and go into any calls which I need to attend. Then later on in the day I work on various different projects in which my manager has assigned to me.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have definitely learnt how to use MS SharePoint which I wasn't that familiar with when I started at Unilever. I've also developed other IT skills such as improving my Excel skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It's a really amazing programme which has allowed me to develop myself as a person and also taught me how to work with a team of people around me. Overall, I really enjoy it and I'm hoping to have a great future at this business.

  • It is really well organised. I can communicate with my manager really easily if I need help with anything or work with others in the team.

  • My manager and others in the team are really supportive towards me. They are always willing to help and check in on me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive great support and regularly speak with my advisor from the University. He helps me if I'm struggling or need help.

  • I believe the skills I've learnt at University have helped me in my role as I've learnt various skills which are useful in the workplace.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Due to Covid-19 this hasn't been possible all of the time. Although, when we are in the office we have various socials after work such as going to the pub

  • Yes

  • It's a great business focused around amazing brands that nearly everyone can relate to.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • Make sure to include everything you can think of in your application, even if you think it's stupid. This will help Unilever understand who you are and what you can offer to the business.
