  • - To run and manage financial spend reports amongst multiple schemes and report figures and discrepancies to the senior leadership team - Assistance within Smart Motorway Projects drafting schedules and BoQs for communication installation works - To create CDM documentation reporting on health and safety risk and mitigation techniques for survey and construction works - To design, plan and implement Traffic management schedules and programs in line with scheme requirements - Liaison with contractors to request drawings and designs for traffic management - To conduct site surveys and notify designers of site details in preparation of scheme drawings - Creation of works programs in line with changes to scope of work throughout the project - Requesting quotes from contractors, reviewing, and discussing with management - Presenting my progress in meetings and presentations to other teams working on the scheme - Creation of BoQs and material/item schedules in preparation for scheme costing - Reviewing of documents prior to management sign off - Reviewing and comparison of tender documents - Liaison with construction contractors to discuss progress, early warnings, and scope of work discrepancies to ensure project spend is controlled - Creation of environmental and sustainability reports notifying relevant parties and teams of possible waste materials with suggestions for mitigation and methods of implementing a sustainable working strategy - Management and reporting of scheme spend using financial trackers

  • I enjoy the range of work and tasks I am responsible for along with the opportunities presented to me such as traveling, site experience and progression opportunities.

  • Course block weeks are well planned however, content can be poor and unrelatable to my job role.

  • I receive endless support from my line manager, other colleagues and work based learning coaches.

  • I receive very little support from my university module leaders regarding assignments.

  • I would advise others to take pride in the work they complete and to always give their maximum efforts as it does not go unnoticed.
