  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a nursery practitioner we have to educate and keep our children safe, We do this by giving them numerous activities which can help their development and communication. me and my colleagues all work together to provide the best care for the children. We teach them maths, messy play, textures and smells, We also teach them how to communicate with one another

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt so many things whilst doing my qualifications, ive learnt things i didnt even know i needed to become an excellent nursery practitioner. I also learnt in my role how to properly communicate with a toddler and how to help them with their development.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I feel very comfortable in my work setting and in my team. It was surpassed my expectations and I feel like I can talk to my team if i need advice. I enjoy work and my programme for my qualifications very much..

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is organised very well, I can speak to my manager and arrange having time to do my college work so im up to date. I know i can also have a support meeting if i need one, I feel as though we are organised and prepared.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieve alot of support from my employer, I feel very comfortable knowing i can speak about any worries or concerns i have. My manager is always checking up to make sure we're okay. If we are stressed about something my manager will speak to me about it and try her best to fix it if shes able to.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My tutor is amazing when it comes to my qualifications, I can tell that she cares about my education and shes very passionate about making sure i pass. I feel as though she has a great attuitud when supporting me. I know i can be supported by her if i needed to be.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Yes, I think my apprenticeship education has made me become a way better practitioner as Im educated on things that help improve my role. I feel as though i know way more about my job as my training provider has taught me it.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a christmas meal at the end of the year where all the staff get together to celebrate. We also do staff meetings in which we all gather to help improve our abilities.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel as though i was made apart of the team very quickly so it was easier to settle in. Our team is welcoming and makes sure you're okay at all times. I would recommend the company to a friend as i know they'd be in good hands


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Tiny Stars Day Nursery?
  • The interview is very relaxed and its just to get a general idea of where you're at and what you can and cant do. The whole process is made very stress free
