My role here at Babcock international as a higher level electrical apprentice having just entered my third year, includes various roles and responsibilities. Such roles and responsibilities include following health and safety standards ensuring the working environment is safe and free from potential hazards. Also carrying out electrical testing and inspection of recent installations.
Learning new skills and developing existing skills here at Babcock is always continuing. With constant new challenges and various different placements where different jobs and targets are expected. This allows for constant new skills and existing skills to become further developed and improved whilst gaining vital relevant experience that is job specific.
Here at Babcock working within teams where team members and mangers provide support and experience to all, helps enable an enjoyable working environment. Personally I really enjoy the team experience as all team members are working to help one another to achieve specific targets and goals set making for an enjoyable working environment.
Here at Babcock the higher level apprenticeship is very much largely solely organised by the individual apprentice. Where here you must organise your own placements and make contact with various managers that run or control certain areas that you may wish to experience in order to gain vital knowledge to aid your apprenticeship.
Here at Babcock support from team members is always great as the majority of the team members are willing to aid and help you with any issues or questions that require answering in order to gain a better understanding to help improve your knowledge making you a better apprentice here.
Here at back k the support you received from you training provider whilst working towards specific college qualifications is of a good standard. As lecturers as always willing to help with issues or questions that you may have. They are very knowledgeable and easily contactable via email or in person.
The qualifications that I am working towards help will the role job that I am carrying out as specific topics involved in the course are jobs that are carried here at Babcock. This makes for an classroom to real life experience where theory and practical meet making for an good understanding.
Here at Babcok there are extra social activities to get involved with, this include arrange sporting activities organised by various teams which I loved after work five a side football, work events such as Christmas parties and birthday events. Tickets to various local and even high end sports teams are provided.

Here at Babcock it is a great opportunity to learn and gain excellence knowledge in chosen fields, allowing you to develop all the vital and necessary skills in order to become a fully suitable qualified experienced personnel. With the opportunity to progress within your career and having the chance to obtain useful qualifications.
Tips and advice that I would personally give to others that are applying to Babcock would be to take as many opportunities as you can and ask as many questions as you can. People are approachable and helpful so get stuck in and be keen to learn new relevant skills.
