My role involves customer service, stocking shelves, merchandising our products, managing staff, ensuring compliance with the law, and other tasks required for the day-to-day running of the shop.
Through this apprenticeship I have learned new skills and developed existing ones relating to customer service, marketing, merchandising, and management.
The apprenticeship has helped me get better at my role and I am glad to have this opportunity.
The apprenticeship is divided in separate modules, which cover a variety of topics. After every module, there's a meeting with your tutor. These meetings are very useful in checking your understanding of each module and ensuring the apprenticeship is a positive learning experience. Plenty of support is available by contacting your tutor.
I go through a checklist about every module with my manager and we discuss the topics, which helps my understanding of the subject.
My tutor is very helpful and has made it clear that I should contact her if there's any issues or questions regarding the apprenticeship. She's been very helpful and accommodating.
Through this apprenticeship, I have learned new skills, developed existing ones, and become more mindful when performing day-to-day tasks at work.
Once in a while, there are social and sporting events.
