My role is a progamme support officer. On a day-2-day basis, I am in charge of processing expenses for Lead Peers and Councillors, organising cpc trips and arranging payment to those peers. I am also in charge of organising our zoom license for external and internal events as well as assisting with ad-hoc tasks.
I have definitely developed my communication and reading skills in my role, which has also benefitted me in my everyday life. I have picked up technical skills like word, excel and outlook knowledge to make my everyday job easier. I have also been able to cultivate a new skill in regards to being dynamic, which has allowed me to work in many different conditions.
I really enjoy my programme, as it is really informative and gives me new knowledge on topics I want to develop.
Very well organised and easy to follow. The topics I study all interlink with eachother which makes it easy to apply to previous knowledge.
My employer is incredibly supportive with my apprenticeship tasks, and always makes sure I have enough material to put towards my 20% of the job.
My training provider is incredibly supportive aswell, as she always goes the extra mile to make sure my sessions are specially catered to me in order for me to get the most of my training. She gives me regular updates on my session progression, so I am always in the loop
My qualification always helps me perform better in my role, as I can apply topics about stakeholders (for example) to help me communicate better with people I work with.
There are many all staff webinar days, in which we hear many different topics which may involve us today. We also have a mental health segment.
