Yes, a vast range of new skills have been learn by joining the apprenticeship of lean six sigma over the last 18-24 months. The main skill progressed has been project management of and end to end project from inception to end with recommendations. The other skill is analysis and discovery.
Greatly, the type of learning was beneficial to me as it was spread out across the months and years. the online learning was really helpful broken down into separate modules, with 2 hour slots for each session with breaks. working with other people to expand and problem solve with people together.
I have found the management of the course to be mixed in that some areas are good and other areas are bad. the good areas being the upfront time to be able to block out for training but the training material was not always shared. The same teacher remained throughout the course.
my employer gave me a day off a week to complete the training and the additional off site training which is equally as important when it comes to the end point assessment. There was a group setup within the ba practice to discuss any challenges the ba's had with the course.
they have been very good with getting the preparation for the end point assessment giving us separate sessions for each part. these really helped me get ready and achieve the grade i desired. the trainer was really helpful in getting us confident for the end point assessments using all of his knowledge.
I am a lot more confident in my day to day role by the use of the lean six sigma course. from being able to setup a proficient problem solving methodology and running a project improvement with success. The tools and tips have been passed and shared with my other team mates.
