Currently working as part of the project management office team on client site. Supporting project delivery activities as well as working on the internal financials and sales operation tasks.
Yes, I have been on a number of internal training courses that have allowed me to develop and learn new skills as part of the project management office team. I have also learnt new technologies as part of the QA training, this includes HTML and CSS, I have also learnt about the Agile methodology.
I do thoroughly enjoy the programme, it has allowed me to meet a wide variety of people and gain experience and knowledge in a complete mixture of fields. It has succeeded my expectations.
I do feel valued by Capgemini, the work I complete in the client facing role has a real purpose that is valued by team. I receive good feedback and have been rewarded through the reward scheme. I believe hard work does pay off in Capgemini.
The programme is well structured and I have not experienced any problems so far. However things always seem to be changing as updates are being made for each new intake.
Every 8 weeks I meet with the QA assessor, I receive good support as we can email / phone if there are any problems or questions that arise. My QA assessor is happy to answer questions and look at work before the meetings also.
I receive good support from my employer, there are a number of support networks in place for the higher apprentices.
The salary currently just about meets my costs however I believe the salary could be improved taking into account the cost of travel into London and the prices in London.
Capgemini have many social / company events that happen frequently that everyone is invited to and encouraged to network and meet with different people within the business.
Yes
Great opportunities at Capgemini, there is no set path for you to follow you can create your own path by discovering what suits you and then pursuing a career in the desired field with a great support network around.
Ensure you are ready for the commitment before starting if you are joining straight from school, prepare for the assessment days by doing your research on the company. Be yourself at your interview, Capgemini look for personality as well as being academic.
