My role involves liaising with companies from around the world, carrying out activities which are required for any relationship with new business. This includes carrying out relative checks and procedures using different methods. Although I work mainly on my own, I have a supportive team to offer advice and support when it is required.
Throughout my time at PwC, I have gained many valuable skills and further developed existing skills. Teamwork and time management are of the up most importance. I have gained the skills of communicating effectively whether that be face to face or via email. My ability of effectively managing my time was a skill that was developed quickly within my role.
I enjoy my apprentice programme as it gives me a on the job experience which I can compare to the theory being taught within my degree. I have made many relationships and friendships within my degree cohort and also from the PwC network firm. I feel appreciated by the company.
My programme is organised as 4 days on the job and 1 at university. This gives a diversity to my week. My employer is understanding of the commitments required for my programme and supports me accordingly. The structure of the job roles are fantastic as they highly relate to the theory of my degree.
My employer supports every aspect of my role, whether that be the university commitments, or on the job. Especially through Covid-19 I felt that every aspect of wellbeing and support are highly regarded throughout the company. There are many benefits we can avail of, and the structure of team surrounding us is a massive support.
Our training provider is very hands on, the face to face learning is completed in an interactive manner which allows for a better understanding of the topics being taught. Through the marking of assignments the feedback from the provider motivates and aids you to be the best you can be. There are always there to support us with regards to the programme or any issue outside which may arise.
My qualification directly relates to the job role I am in. This has positive attributes by allowing me to see the theory in practice. There are parts of the qualification which at first sight may not seem to directly relate to my role but then it becomes evident that the theory is the same but just seen from a different view point. This allows me to critically evaluate this theory when it comes to writing assignments.
Although at this precise time with Covid-19 many of our social activities were put on hold, the company strives to make a difference in our community. There are volunteering opportunities available with local charities which I am keen to take part in. PwC also value social activities within your team whether this be social dinners or activities. These have been taking place virtually throughout covid and face to face when it is safe to do so. There are so many social or extra curricular activities which can be availed of that you are spoilt for choice, there is something for everyone!

I feel that working for a "Top Employer" has given me an insight into how a workforce should be treated. Your efforts never go unnoticed, you feel valued, and last not but least the opportunities are endless. This is the first employer I have envisaged my long-term future and created my 10 year plan. These plans are supported by my team around me. I feel part of the company and not a number!
Apply!!!! This company exceeds all expectations! I could not ask for a more supportive company to be a part of, and I am so proud to work for a company which makes a difference to local communities and encourages staff to get involved. Apply, be yourself, and come work for a leading firm who is leading change in our community.
