  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In Dec 2021, after I began the Payroll Apprenticeship, I was promoted to an Accounts Assistant role in WW's financial accounting team - I ensure the correct money is flowing into the business and out with invoicing, debtor chasing and bank reconciliations.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Absolutely, I had never touched Payroll before, so everything taught to me was new, and has developed my knowledge around the topic. I have also become more confident with assignment submission format and cohesion.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find the sessions very engaging and productive, they have been an incredibly supportive since the start - I have enjoyed the programme very much.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised, we always plan ahead so that I can allocate time to dedicate to it.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My new team leader always encourages me to block time out of my working day to focus on MBKB work, however as I am also learning a new role within her team, we both understand I haven't had as much time as I usually would.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Great support, we're moving onto the revision section now for my apprenticeship

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I don't work within Payroll at WW, so it doesn't particularly help me perform better in my role directly, however, I have gained many transferable skills though.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • not many opportunities to do so, they host leaving drinks parties at the most expensive place in town to drink, our Christmas party has been rescheduled to March

  • Yes

  • Great support within teams and lots of benefits, opportunity to grow or expand careers
