Supervising a team who support our WW Coaches running workshops around the country - physical and virtual workshops. We ensure all submissions are received on time and errors are fixed prior to each week being closed in systems before the finance teams start their tasks. We also support our iPad system that coaches use in workshops so we offer the technical support required rather than passing them through to the tech department.
It has been great to understand the different learning styles and needs of my team - this has helped me work more closely with them and improve processes. I have attended many internal courses over the last year - from Mental health first aider training through to H&S and GDPR sessions. The EQ training from my tutor was really insightful.
The programme has helped me work better with my team and imbed the company culture into my daily work. It has been what I expected, and more as it has allowed me a platform to analyse what is working well and what needs improvement. It has been challenging but my tutor has helped to keep this enjoyable whilst learning.
Great induction was given with clear guidance from the start. My tutor is always available for guidance and the presentations shared give a good platform for continued learning. We have regular meetings/sessions booked in to allow time to complete tasks in the meantime and work on day to day workload too.
My manager has been brilliant at supporting me through this programme and allowing me the time I need to submit tasks on time. The L&D team have also been a great resource and support and have helped support me at times where I've doubted my ability. There are quite a few colleagues on a programme and we catch up to share experiences.
My tutor has been a great support - the presentations shared contain additional resources in order to support with the completion of tasks. If ever needed, my tutor is only a quick email away and is happy to book in a quick session to look over questions with me before the next official session. I've really enjoyed my sessions and being able to speak openly with my tutor in order to get the most out of the time we have together.
Having become a people leader through progression within my company this apprenticeship is helping me gain confidence in what I currently do and helping me change the way I think/behave in other situations in order to get the best from my team for the business. I believe that this has made a difference to the way I work especially with the wider business.
We have many extra-curricular activities in the office and outside of it. From table tennis tornaments to baking competitions to keep the teams connected. We also work with the Trussell trust and are able to have day supporting the local community. We have nights out locally too with no obligation to attend but this is a great networking event away from our desks. We also have a wellness allowance each year to spend on something to help with our health or wellbeing - many use this for local gym memberships and spa treatments - some even purchase lego to help them 'switch off' in the evenings.
Yes
There is a great feeling of being part of the same team. We all support each other at different times of the year depending of priorities. The company have been great supporting working from home during the pandemic and have been working closely with us all to ensure retuning to the office has been a positive experience for us all. They look after our wellbeing with First Aiders and Mental Health First Aiders to ensure that there is support for all needs and we have regular catch ups with senior leadership team members to offer suggestions and find out what is planned for the future.
Ensure your covering letter tells us who you really are and that you understand the ethos of the company. The onboarding process here is great - we even have a buddy system so that you have someone to ask all the random questions you might have when you first join a new company. There are opportunities to move within teams if you show a the right interest and skill set.
