  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In my current team I enjoy lots of ad hoc responsibilities which involves lots of reviewing and reporting. I work closely with the senior associates in my team to assist with high level stretch work but also assisting them with lower cost work such as general organisation and co-ordinating large projects.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from my manager and the HR team with work and personal problems. There is a great benefits scheme for further medical assistance as well as other general support, such as flexible banking of study days to be used in lieu around the time of exams.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive weekly lectures on the topics we study, however these are mainly consolidation classes as you are expected to do the preparation work on your own accord. We also have a coach for our study skills or portfolio and coursework assignments however the focus is definitely on independent learning.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think the fact that the training provider allows you to choose topics which are suited to your role allows you to perform better. I studied both Land Law and Property Practice while I was in a Real Estate seat in work which allowed me to have a greater understanding of both the module and the application in work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many social activities including a monthly 'drinks trolley' to be held after work. There is both a football and netball team for employees to get involved in. As an apprentice I have been to many networking events particularly to schools and colleges in order to promote the apprenticeship.
