At the moment we are working on our portfolio as we are in between teams this month. We also have sales call to make this month to split up the month. Once we are in our teams however we are treated like we are in the team with no special treatment which is a great feeling as you feel apart of that team straight away.
Yes, I have learnt a lot about communication and presentation skills from the training course we have taken. These courses were very interesting and can easily be applied to your day to day work.
The programme is great, being surrounded by 9 other apprentices is amazing as we are all in the same boat even if we are different ages. Its nice to be able to have 9 co-workers that you can ask anything without feeling stupid about your question.
It is really well structured from the training days we have to the call lists we all have between us. In the beginning the training was really well organised, we also got a clear overview of the hierarchy in the business.
You are constantly supported throughout the apprenticeship, this can be from anyone including your own apprentice co-workers. You will have an apprentice manager who will be there whenever you need her.
We have monthly meeting with our coach who is the apprenticeship manager from GK apprenticeships who will have a chat with us and discuss where we are and how we are getting on. He is also always available for a call or to message on teams if needed.
The training that we have had is easily applied to our day to day which is great if you needed to develop on certain skills. It also widens your view on the business and the industry.
Yes lots, we have an outward bound trip coming up which is a 4 day trip to the lake district for some team building with the other apprentices which is great according to the previous apprentices. You also get trips to different offices around the UK and work trips also.
Yes
Techdata is by far the best apprenticeship I compared to others in the area, the level of support, training a friendliness of everyone in the business from the MD to reception is outstanding. It instantly felt like home and a fun environment to be in
Be yourself, try to show your personality in the interview which will go along way in the interview process. If you are confident in the tings you are saying the managers will love that. If you take control in the projects they give you, act as the leader and make sure everyone is involved.
