Supporting the Area Manager in managing 9 Stores across London. Day to day activities may include admin work, data analysis, site visits, reviews, investigations and disciplinaries, project work, presentations, team building meetings etc.
I have learnt many new skills. Resilience is the most important one, as it is a challenging environment always changing, resilience is key. I had further increased my communication skills, email etiquette, presentation skills, coaching and developing skills, data analysis skills.
So far I love the programme. The tutors are very helpful, the university provides so many resources, my employer is really helpful and flexible, I have the most amazing mentors that help me get prepared for my assignments and I have already learnt a lot.
The programme is very well organized, it gives me enough time to work on an assignment, and enough flexibility to joggle with day to day tasks
I receive all the support needed. I have my day off work for study and I have 2 lovely mentors that have a vast experience in the retail sector.
Same, I receive a great deal of support.
This qualification, although I am just at the beginning, i feel like it broadens my understanding and by the end of it will give me a 360 degree view over the whole retail sector, which otherwise would have been much difficult to achieve
Unfortunately no, the branch is quite small and we do not do any sort of social events - only christmas parties if those can be counted :)
Yes
Although we are working in a small branch of BAT the work culture is amazing. This company is so people-centered and it does enjoy to see people grow and develop themselves into something better.
Be open to constant changes, be open to learning and developing yourself and just enjoy the ride :)
