  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I usually work with securing the internal infrastructure for our company creating code that will help strengthen our system and it’s teams from cyber attacks and keep compliant with the industry standards that are changing and key to keep up to date wit. Using programming languages to do this.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt soft and technical skills such as communicating effectively with different people online. This has been something new for me to get used too but have now grown accustomed and find it easy. My presenting skills have also improved along with coding which had helped me problem solve

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme since it gives me the opportunity to extend my industry knowledge and understand how the theory learnt at university is used in real life which is a great learning experience. I have also really enjoyed working with different people and meeting them since starting my apprenticeship

  • My programme is very well structured since there is clear agendas on what to expect from the course and how this helps. The programme is clear and has everything documented on the website and accessible when needed . There is communication with the university and the workplace which is great to see and helps go integrate the both

  • I receive alot of support from my employee and find that it is very easy to talk to my manager I can invest my time in things I find interesting and they are usually aligned with the business needs and what they want us to learn going forward, I also get the 20 % Off the job time at work

  • I get the support necessary w from my employer since we have senior and people that have been doing the work I learn in university for years it is easy to ask them for help since they know what they are talking about and can explain it concisely which is great

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • There is a dedicated business unit at university which has helped improve my soft skills . Proving there is an overlap and university and work alogm. I learn Java at university and pro dominantly use python at work which is good since they have similar concepts and it is easy to pick up

  • There are multiple ways to get involved in extra curricular activities such as committed that you can join and cultural clubs there is also dedicated game clubs which express there views for people to join making it something appealing and wanting me to come back for more each time. Which is great

  • I would recommend KPMG to a friend since it is very diverse and mckusibe they want you To excel and ask questions Laing the way managers and caring and understand there colleagues which is very evident and the important of them which is great to see


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • You should be yourself and show yourself in the interview, Understanding the business model is not essential it is good idea to locate and do see what the company and passionate about and feedback that you are aware and align with the business . Making it clear goal that can be measured
