Working on projects, developing full stack, end to end (front and back end)
Yes I have learned many skills during my time on the apprenticeship; written skills, development skills, presenting skills etc.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the apprenticeship programmes as it has allowed me to mash theoretical university learnings with real world experiences of Lloyds project work.
The programme is very well structured. For the first 3 years I have my working week has entailed 1 university day + 4 workplace days. in my final year it is 2 university days + 3 workplace days. This has allowed me to have very good balance between both.
I receive a lot of support from Lloyds, they have been very helpful and happy for me to spend additional time for university assignments during my workdays. Additionally, they been very supportive during the covid pandemic.
I receive a lot of support from MMU, they have been very supportive and understanding of the amount of work that is expected of us and are happy to work around workplace schedules if needed. Additionally, they been very supportive during the covid pandemic.
The theory learned at university goes directly hand in hand with projects works and allows me to instantly put into practice the learnings undertaken at the university.
With the schedule of attending university and being in a day job, there is not much time for me to attend any extra-curricular activities. However, there are plenty of opportunities within Lloyds for extra-curricular activities and training days available to their workforce.
