My daily tasks consist of answering the queries we recieve regarding the client information we are required to hold due to a change in regulations made by HMRC. I am constantly networking across the different departments giving me the oppertunity to see how the various departments work. Although i have only been here a couple of months i have been able to participate in many projects, further extending my knowledge and understanding.
Throughout my time here, i have developed many of my previously attained skills such as the ability to work under pressure, my organisations has greatly improved as a result of multiple deadlines. In additon, all of the work i complete helps towards the two qualification that i will be gaining.
I thoroughly enjoy the programme for a number of reasons, i have been able to gain many new skills and meet some amazing people. The atmosphere within the office is ideal for and growth and the people are true role models. I love the ability to work and study as it is much easier to grasp concept when you work with them in my daily tasks.
The induction had been simply and well-explained, going through their expectations, deadlines and hoow we are assessed. Training was done online and was very detailed as well as information packed. I would say everything is pretty well organised and delivered as everything is marked on our calenders and we are sent emails informing us of what are lecutres are going to be about.
The support systemw ithin Christies is amazing. I have weekly catchup meetings with my line manager to be able to go through any queries that i was unsure of, as well as to see if i need help with things such as time off, coursework and much more. In addition, I have a lot of support from my cowroker who helps me with my day-to-day tasks if i am struggling or unable to quiete understand an email. There is a constant flow of feedback which helps me improve.
There is slightly less support from my traingin provider as we only have catch up once a month. However, these catch ups are very useful in terms of coursework as we go through each task and discuss what the task is asking for and how can we achieve the best grade for it.
My qualification helps a lot with my role at christies as i am given the background information towards why i have to perform certain tasks, which although i am made aware of by my manager, the qualifiction gives me a more of an insight into the history and specific details.
There are many different extra curricular activities such as the running club where any money that is given is donated to a charity, apprentices often plan socials as team building excersises and to be able to talk outside the work place. In addition, during normal times departments would go on work lunches to be able to get to know corworkers a bit more.
Yes
As it is an amazing place to work for, the amount of support i have recieved in the short time that i ahve eben here so far has allowed me to grow and improve as a person on a professional and personal level. Furthermore, the people are incredily nice and patient, who are willing to help you improve your abilities.
If you are looking to apply to Christies i recommend do your research on the company, keep a level head and be yourself. when answering questions in an interview, it is ok to take a minute to compose your answer in your head. This allows you to seem more composed and professional.
