I've learnt loads of new skills throughout my time and developed new ones. Particularly, my job has helped me develop my communications skills through exposure of all teams. This has also helped my teamwork skills as well as managing people and resources. My job is busy and changes on a day to day basis so organisation skills are key
I am absolutely loving my programme! I learn off the job at university during classes the theory, which I am then able to go back to the workplace and apply. This also develops my understanding further where I have already learnt the practical and then go on to discovering the theory
It's structured okay overall. A lot of the time the units overlap meaning we are learning two different things at once which can get confusing. Also, it means that deadlines overlap and when having a full time day job along side, this can be stressful. This would be an opportunity to improve
My employer is very supportive in my course in terms of the job training. I am given 20% dedicated to completing my degree. This is handy as a side from the time spent in university, it also gives me some free space to complete my assignments and carry out research
Moderate. This all depends on the unit and the tutor. Some tutors are amazing and go above and beyond to help you (within reason, it's a degree after all that requires a lot of self study). Others are not as helpful and leave you to crack on with it
As previously mentioned, the theory I learn I am able to apply to my role practically so it's definitely helped me perform better in my role. It has also helped me gain an understanding of myself and what I'm like to work with. Having an awareness of yourself and how you impact others is key
My workplace does not offer any extra-curricular activities so this does not apply. We have no sports teams, no professional networking event opportunities (that I am aware of anyway). We have the annual christmas do which is great fun and makes you feel part of the wider team - a good chance to catch up
Yes
I've been here 6 years and had 3 promotions. If you're willing and committed to progression, you will get far. We have an extensive talent management and succession programme so it's a good career path. We invest in our people and provide many further education opportunities in a diverse environment
Ensure you cover every point in the application form and show yourself off. Be prepared for the interview and every question they could ask you, but do not worry if you cannot answer a question, just be honest. It is also always a good idea to do your research on the company to show you care
