I am working as an apprentice supervisor. Opening and closing the store, running the store, answering the phone. Mainly working in the freezer. Maintaining stock and checking stock levels. Dealing with the customers, supporting the colleagues working at the till.
As a graduate I have refreshed my knowledge about business concepts. Additionally, I have learned how to do Rota’s at the shop. To record absence and sickness of the staff. Moreover, I was dealing with orders related to the store and to the staff.
I do like this program as I am getting a lot of relevant information about retail that I can use practically at work. Additionally, I have got more confidence because I was preparing my self for a presentations and it gave me more confidence to talk in public.
It is well organized, simple and understandable. My tutor is a very supportive and professional. A lot of information is provided about various modules and topics. Each module contains videos, explanations, links to other sources and it helps if I want to expand my knowledge about particular topics.
At the beginning I have not received much support from my previous manager. I have tried to learn a new thing myself or I was asking my colleagues to help me, or explain how task has to be done. After a new manager has joined out team , I have received more support.
I am satisfied about my training provider as he is very supportive, motivating me all the time. If I need any help or support , I can always contact him and he is always answering to all my questions. If I was struggling to understand something, he simplifying questions and making more understandable.m for me.
As I am getting a lot of information, and gaining my knowledge about retail and different aspects that are important working in retail, and it help me a lot. To receive a relevant and important information all the time is relevant and helps at work.

All the time there is shortage of staff. People have to work under the pressure most of the time. There are no clear policy how to stop people of calling sick too often. Not enough paying for responsibilities, one person has to do too many asks, and have a lot of duties.
The job is hard, but there is a carrier opportunities in this company. Person who wants to work for this company has to be very flexible, sharp minded, strong emotionally finically, willing to work and learn new things. To be a supportive is very important as well.
