Entering monthly payroll deductions for all of our company benefits and bonuses such as Pensions, Car Schemes, Healthcare etc. I also spend lots of time responding to any employee queries over any of those benefits.
Yes, I developed my communication skills, and learnt new and useful ways of organising my time (and other peoples time) when booking meetings, taking notes, writing up minutes etc.
I really enjoyed taking part in this programme - it was a great accessory to have whilst learning my new job, and it helped me consider approaches that I may not have used myself. It really helped when learning the role.
The programme was well suited to my working weeks/months - we had once a month calls to go through new topics/sections of the apprenticeship, and I then had a few weeks to complete the tasks attached to that topic. This meant I was able to complete around my deadlines at work.
My employer was always really supportive through the whole apprenticeship and helped me with any of the tasks i had to complete when required. We had monthly catch up meetings to see how I was getting on, if I needed help and if I needed to be given more time in my working day to complete them.
My trainer [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was brilliant and always willing to help - we would have regular conversations either on the phone or by email to check how I was getting on, and always offered extensions on tasks if I was struggling to get things done alongside my everyday work, so that I did not become overwhelmed.
The qualification that I gained has helped hugely in my development at Jardine Motors Group - the professionalism and organisation skills that the apprenticeship helped me gain led to me being offered an internal promotion, within just a year and a half of working with the company, and two months after completing my apprenticeship.
There are often charity related activities which take place outside of work, which we are always encouraged to take part in.
