My role is to provide business administration for my department and team, therefore my main responsibilities are to maintain reports (which are used by Project Managers and Business Analysts, provide quality assurance checks for audit and training new colleagues.
Although my apprenticeship is still quite new, I feel like I have developed many current skills, such as communication, active listening, attention to detail and my overall confidence.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme as it gives me the opportunity to learn and work at the same time.
My programme is structured very well. I have contact with my tutor once a month for 2hrs, get tasks and assignments to complete between the sessions which always link back to my role and we are provided great feedback on our work.
I receive a lot of support from both my Line Manager and those in Early Talent. I have regular check ins with my Line Manager to discuss how I am getting on and if I need any support. My Early Talent Manager arranges numerous check ins throughout the month also
I receive a lot of support of my tutor, especially during our sessions and review meetings.
My qualification is helping to develop my skills and knowledge, therefore I will be able to perform to a higher level in my role
Yes! Newcastle Building Society is always offering extra-curricular activities to get involved in, These range from school talks to events with programme providers.
Yes
Even though I have only been here since September, I have been made to feel so welcome and everyone is really helpful and friendly. It feels more like a family than work.
Say yes to every opportunity that comes your way! Even if it's just something small, say yes because you really benefit from the experience and helps you to network around the company
