My role involves organising the staff into their job roles in order of priority, stocking shelves, managerial roles, giving good customer service and giving back to the community.
I have learnt to be more confident and learnt better management skills.
I do enjoy my programme because I meet new faces and explore new ways to action matters that I didn’t know how to before
It is very structured, there are group conferences every 6-8 weeks, I have an apprenticeship visit from my tutor roughly every six weeks and we are able to have time off if struggling.
I receive support from my employer when needed
My training provider is always there to help whether I phone, text, email, or live video them.
I feel like it allows me to be more confident in what I am doing as I am the youngest team leader in my store so it helps with my experience and allows me to take different approaches to things that others may not be able to.
We sometimes have charity events that we host where we take part in bake sales, the colleagues go out for Christmas parties or if it is someone’s birthday.
Yes
The benefits you receive from being a co-op employer are really helpful and they have links such as life works if you’re struggling in day to day life
It depends on the store but the staff normally have a well-rounded positive energy and it can be a fun place to work
