Answering calls from policyholders when they have been involved in an incident. logging all the correct information needed to process a claim, managing their expectations of the claims handling and the next steps for them and putting them in touch with the relevant suppliers to get their vehicle fixed.
I have developed existing skills and knowledge gained prior to starting the programme such as regulations, more in depth knowledge of the principles of insurance that I can apply in my day to day role. I have also learnt the importance of the FCA rules and treating customers fairly in order to provide the best service
I enjoy it because it allows me to gain more knowledge about the industry that I can use in my role and pass to other colleagues. It also allows me to develop my knowledge so it is more in depth. I have also enjoyed learning about the different aspects of insurance such as underwriting as I do not deal with that on a daily basis
Very - my talent coach is extremely accessible and always replies quickly to my emails. I liked the fact that there were workshops available to recap the book content and make the content more relatable. I also get the same amount of time for CII every week at the same time.
I receive a lot of support. They will rearrange my time if needs be and keep me in the loop. If I need to have a quick catch up with my talent coach to ask a question they will accomodate this also. I always recieve an email saying congratulations when I pass an exam
My talent coach is always on hand to answer my questions and points me in the right direction towards other helpful materials. The feedback is always clear and constructive to allow me to improve the work I have submitted. The workshops available make the content clearer and easier to understand
It has given me knowledge that I can apply to my role and stressed the importance of following FCA rules. Because of this the customer is in the forefront of my mind at all times and I have recieved excellent customer feedback and an improved end of year rating
We have social events that we can attend such as Christmas parties, beach parties in the summer. They also have a volunteer programme where colleagues can do some charity work for the day such as planting gardens and bagging in supermarkets. There is also an annual shining star awards where nominees can attend an evening event.
