  • • Leading, Motivating and inspiring a team of 15 direct reports • Continuously achieving individual, Team and business KPIs • Data analysis of business performance and telephony data • Bringing to life the brand values of RSA and our partners and guiding the team to handle claims in line with the claims proposition. • Frequent coaching with individuals within 121s to ensure that we are continuously learning and developing as individuals and as a team. • Performance management • Demonstrating full compliance with all legal requirements and relevant RSA policies as well as relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt new skills since the apprenticeship such as different leadership styles and how to use these in my day to day role with different team members. I have also been able to develop my existing skills with this too. I have also learnt more about managing a team and dealing with KPIs

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme that i am on but with being full time leader it is hard to manage my time. This is a goal for myself to ensure that i give the time needed to complete my coursework to the best of my ability. I am able to prvide the examples required as i do the job already.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very rganised as we get a table which shows when the webinar sessions are so we can plan these in. There is also deadlines to meet which are set out in the schedule to so you always know what you should be on with. There is clear structure with this.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieve a lot of support from my employer i am able to approach my own leader or other leaders who have done the course for guidence and help to enable me to complete my coursework. I can also refer to other leaders around me to support when providing examples

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I do recieve support from my training provider in terms of if i need additional time or if i am unable to meet the deadline they will support with extensions and advice on what is best to focus on to move forward in the course. We also hold meetings each month to discuss progression

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that this qualification helps as i am learning more about different things in management and leadership that i wouldnt sometimes know just by doing the role. I undertsand it is great to know the background of why things are done which is what i am learning from the course

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Before the pandemic there was a large amount of extra activities such as a sports and social club membership where we can get involved with things out side of work such as quiz nights and treasure hunt activities. There is also summer party events too. Since the pandemic this has reduced but we will look to get these back up and running when able to

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend RSA to a friend as its a great place to work. There is so much support and areas for development too. There is so many different people from different backgrounds and you are always learning new things each day. Whilst this is a busy fast paced environment we will always have fun and make it a great place to work


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSA Insurance Ltd?
  • I would advise to be the best you can be and you will really strive and go far. Going above and beyond for customers and colleagues will help in your development too. There is lots of opportunities that come up and its great to be able to see how other areas work too.
