I review our customers concerns and offer a final decision on behalf of the company. This includes making sure all regulations are sufficient within my role
I have learnt about further areas within the insurance industry including underwriting and other areas I have not had the chance to understand their roles. This has helped me to progress from a claims handler to a specialist complaint handler with my knowledge learnt on this apprenticeship.
I have found this challenging I feel due to my age, but I now understand the behind the scenes details of what the insurance industry is about. I have enjoyed my programme and the learning this has brought.
I have found my programme to be easy to understand and I have known throughout what is expected of me and what I would look to achieve.
My employer have been fantastic throughout the programme, I am able to take days for revision for the examinations and days for the actual exam. Along with work hours to be able to go through work that is required so not all is required to be done in my own time. I have received support and praise when I have passed the examinations and this qualification is seen as a help when going for other roles within RSA. RSA have also allowed time away when required for coach meetings,
My trainers have been great I have received further help from them when I have required this including meetings and further sessions on parts I have struggled with. My coach has always given me any help needed and monthly calls to discuss what is required.
I feel the knowledge I have learnt has helped me to secure a higher role already within RSA. this qualification is looked upon with respect by my employer so I feel this also will help if I would like to progress within the company.
There is always something going on at my company, charity events, social events to praise good work, events held to just say thank you to the staff. There are other areas that you can get involved as our company runs volunteering days and coffee shops for the vulnerable and wellbeing events.
Yes
I feel that although the company and my role is hard the company itself you become part of a family, I have made loads of new acquaintances and I feel safe within my environment. there is so much that RSA offer that can progress your career and also the events held just to say thank you for the hard work make you want to stay with the company for the security of a good firm.
Please note that roles within this industry can be hard but once with the company you will become part of a family. RSA is a fast paced company and can be demanding with some shift work required so please check if this is the style of work you want as once you are trained and if you like the role you will definitely want to stay.
