My day-to-day role involved assisting on a variation of legal matters. The type of work that I carried out was very varied, and I gained a wide variation of knowledge and skills. Some of my regular tasks include creating bundles, drafting legal documents and progressing matters.
Yes. I learnt a lot of new skills throughout my apprenticeship. I became a lot more confident in myself and my ability, I gained a lot of communication skills as well the ability to carry out tasks independently.
I really enjoyed the paralegal apprenticeship, I think it's a great pathway into starting up a legal career. You gain lots of practice skills and knowledge, and also have a study day which is really helpful. I have grown in confidence and I am always keen to learn more.
I had a study day every Monday with BPP, we would have preparation to do before our online classes, so you were able to do your own study before taking the class. Both DWF and BPP were supportive if I had any issues.
I received all the support I needed from DWF, if I ever had any issues I could go to someone to discuss this. The managers in my team could assist with aspects of my apprenticeship but we also had a designated person to go to, which was really helpful.
I received all of the support that I needed. If I ever had any issues there were plenty of people who I could go to for help and my issues always got resolved.
I was able to apply what I had learnt at BPP to the work that I carried out day-to-day. The more I learnt, the more confident I became at carrying out my role.
Yes, during my apprenticeship I took part in a CSR event which was really great as we were able to help the local community. DWF has lots of opportunities like this.
Yes
I have really enjoyed my time at DWF, I think it's a really great place to work. I felt supported throughout my apprenticeship which was difficult at times because we were working remotely because of the Covid-19 pandemic. I have learnt a lot and had a lot of opportunity.
I would have a look on DWF's website and look at their values, and different areas of the business. Be yourself and showcase your current skills and how you think you could contribute towards DWF.
