While starting recently, my day-to-day commitments include a range of tasks from scheduling to cost planning, team meetings and site visits. As part of my 20% learning, this includes my module learning, practice questions and revision for now.
many new skills- learn basics of project planning, schedules and processes. Developed my communicational, organizational and resilience skills.
i very much enjoy my role, especially the trust, I am able to get work done as and when is best for myself. While I get guidance there is no strict deadlines and I do not feel pressured in doing work under time. i have not seen this elsewhere.
I have monthly meetings with my mentor. However i would like to see more support from training provider, while we have meetings every month or two, doesn't seem enough, have to email several times for answers but i think a meeting would be more beneficial and efficient,
A lot. My employer and team have been brilliant at connecting my learning to real company processes. felt supported from day one, let me have my dedicated time to learning and always offer support if needed.
enough. Would expect more- again more frequent meetings, more check ups rather than just leaving me to it. While the independence is nice, support is needed especially when first starting off. Have had to send emails with multiple questions, meetings would be more beneficial for this.
Well, the learning from my qualification has helped me understand at work concepts and ideas too.
Looking at getting into a network for apprentices currently.
Yes
A great company. supported since day 1 and even beforehand. recruitment process was well structured and with good communication. Since joined, great team and environment, warming culture and always felt welcomed and valued.
While the recruitment process is long stick to it, it will be worth it. The company offers a lot of personal development opportunities and supports throughout.
