My role is a Business Administrator in the Co-op People and Services Tower. I work closely with the Chief People Officer and leadership team to ensure they're supported by helping with social media, comms and other admin tasks.
I have learnt a lot more around business structure and got a wider understanding of Co-op.
I really enjoy my programme. There is a lot of reading so sometimes it can take a while for me to process and remember all of the information. It would be good to see some more quizzes, videos etc.
The programme is good however there are a few mixed messages from my coach and tutor around who to speak to/ where to get certain information.
My employer is really supportive and I am able to take my apprenticeship hours whenever suit me.
I have calls most weeks with my tutor and classmates to discuss topics we have been learning. I also have a call once a month with my coach to check in and see how I am progressing.
My learning has really helps in my role, I am more confident when speaking about HR generally aswell as how our organisation works.
There are quite a lot of networking events, currently online aswell as colleague networks e.g. a women's network, disability network etc.
Yes
Co-op is really supportive and are encouraging colleagues to progress.
Make sure your values align before applying at Co-op. And be prepared for lots of change.
