I really recommend the Flying Start Programme. The placement is so engaging and you get to apply the knowledge you learnt at university in the real world which makes it so much more worthwhile.
Became much more confident during placement through working with a team and talking to clients on a day to day basis.
The Flying Start programme is a very enjoyable programme. PwC provide accommodation on placement and you receive a salary. It's a no brainer if you want to be a chartered accountant
The university teaching is very organised and the placement is seamlessly integrated into the year.
PwC provide buddys and career coaches who you can turn to if you have any problems/ issues
One criticism is that the I felt that the training provided prior to placement was inadequate and I ended learning most of what I should've learnt on the actual placement
The content I learnt at university I use all the team and I can see how helpful it is to have that knowledge on a day to day basis
I haven't much a social aspect but I think there some sports teams and other social gatherings. I do feel PwC could promote this a bit better though.
