Pension administrator I do mostly behind the scenes stuff, but I also talk to members on the phone
Yes, I knew nothing about pension admin before starting the role, however now I know a lot more, however I know there is still a lot to learn
I've never done an apprenticeship before, however I was expecting the training provider to have more of an input, however I only get a meeting with the training provider once a month
There is little to no support from the training provider, once a month for 30 minutes is what the training provider gives us
Training with the employer is fine, no issue here, if i need something i can ask anyone in the office or on my team
None, I haven't got any, I've done one APE exam and they did not give me any training, they gave me the material for the exam and thats it...
I was doing my pension admin role before any exam from the training provider

Good company, i would not recommend the apprentice route, i think it would be ideal if someone was to work somewhere else, gain 2 or 3 years of pension knowledge, and then come to Barnett Waddingham and not go though the apprentice route
Unless you have previous pension admin experience, don't, i would gain that experience first, and then come to Barnett Waddingham, but i wouldnt pick up the apprentice route
