My role is a generalist HR role. I am involved with the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding and employment. I support staff with their Probation and PDR process. I also carry out RTW checks, process visa applications and respond to daily email requests.
I have learnt many new skills during my apprenticeship as well as embedding exisiting knowledge and increasing my confidence in my role.
I have enjoyed the programme, even though it has been quite difficult to balance the workload and studying at times.
The programme structure within the University and my department has been great, but I have found the structure with the college provider a bit more challenging.
I received good support from the University and there was more availalble if I needed it. The support from my department was amazing, particularly from my line manager.
The support from my training provider was a bit mixed and a little frustrating at times.
My qualification has really helped me to widen my understanding of HR and how my role fits into this.
