  • civil engineering includes overseeing and supervising digging and cable gangs, attending meetings as well as auditing for safety reasons

  • developed my skills on excel as well as emails. learned new skills in terms of health and safety, auditing and street works codes

  • i enjoy my programme very much however the workload my company have supplied me with is a lot

  • the support and training my company have provided for me is immense, any training ive needed or wanted is provided for me. the structure of my programme was well done however it could have been touched up in some areas

  • a lot of support is given to me by my employer, i can work in flexible hours as well as work alongside other teams in the company to get more insight

  • the support from my training provider was limited and i did not feel like i had the support i needed

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • my qualification through my provider had little to no help with what i do during my day to day role, the qualification was built on a wide basis of civil engineering but not much about fibre engineering

  • yes there are always networking events as well as team meals to all catch up with each other. ive been on a few training events where i have been able to network too

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • vmo2 are one of the highest paying apprenticeships there is. they alloy flexible working hours as well as many company benefits including health care


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Virgin Media O2?
  • read the apprenticeship form thoroughly and put your hand up if help is needed as virgin media will always provide the help
