my role includes the general day to day running of all aspects of the catering operation within rotherham united football club. i also oversee the conference and events and control all aspects of recruitment and staffing
throughout the whole course of the apprenticeship I have developed better financial understanding, self management, stakeholder management, time management and have also worked very hard on my manangment style in the way i deal with problems.
I loved my programme as i was constantly learning and applying all the tools i was being taught to my actual role which was on enhancing what experience that i was able to get. my programme is now finished and it was a very enjoyable time.
I had to deal with my programme having huge disruption due to the global covid 19 pandemic. the structure that was set by HIT was very good and kept me busy during the lockdown periods which was a bonus
i have been with 2 employers whilst on the programme as i changed just before the end of my course. both delaware north and elior were both highly supportive in my efforts to enhance my role within their company by completing the course to a high level.
HIT were amazing and especially a young lady called [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. having previously said i was working through my programme during the pandemic [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] and hit were a constant support provider to help me get through some very dark days.
Categorically i would not have got the role i've moved into, academically and also a confidence situation developed that by doing my programme i knew i had the confidence to go for the role i have now.
Professional network events are always something i try to attend, although i end up beating the drum for apprentices most of the time
Yes
Now that i have settled and grown into the company ethos i have a small determination to get as far up the ladder as possible. I hope that with my Apprentice experience i may get the chance to help others along the way in a mentor role or with maybe a different path in the future so maybe try and find the next success story.
Be confident, work hard and go above and beyond for yourself and for the customer. embrace the culture that we have which is always to try and excel and exceed.
