Office based, our main priority is create an achievable and efficient transport schedule for our contract. We use a planning system which is very high tech and interesting to use.
I have learnt so so many skills over the first 6 months of my apprenticeship. From learning the paragon system, new It skills and also just my communication skills too! Also I have gained lots of knowledge of the supply chain system and how it works,
I absolutely love the programme! From the team I work with, to the day to day tasks we have to complete, I feel very fortunate to be in the position I am currently in. The amount of new skills I am gaining too makes it enjoyable too!
Very well organised. I know where I am up to and what I have left to complete. I have a structured plan of what I need to work towards.
Lots of support, my team are always willing to help me progress and develop my skills. If I need time to complete my apprenticeship work they will always accommodate time for me to do so.
Lots of support, I can always drop them a message if I need help and they are quick to respond.
Probably one area which could be improved. Some of the tasks/work shops are not relevant to my current role, however could help me in the future.
Yes, the emerging talent team do have some events that they put on which you can get involved in.
Yes
A massive company to work for, with lots of opportunities to grow and develop within the business. The working environment is fantastic & also there is lots to learn which makes it more enjoyable too!
Just go for it. What have you got to lose? I was apprehensive before I joined DHL, but since joining the team I have not looked back. I know it sounds like a cliché, but everyone is so supportive and helpful so don't be afraid to speak up!
