Throughout the day I will study what is happening on the PCs to gain an understanding on how to control the plant via a screen. I then will take samples from different parts of the plant and take this sample up to the lab and to carry out testing.
Yes. Going into an apprenticeship provides you with lots of skills as you are working on the job alongside experienced employees.
Greatly. It is well balanced when it comes to college, NVQ and learning on plant- the apprentices from other years are very helpful too.
Very well organised. I do 2 days a week at college and that is enough time to learn the content. When I am on site you are also allowed 1 day a week to spend on NVQ units and I think this is well structured.
There are plenty of people that support you around site at Syngenta, and any question can be asked if you are unsure about a situation. Line manager always available to help.
great guidance on working towards qualifications.
It creates a greater understanding of your job position. Topics covered in college are relatable to work life so it is easier to remember. NVQ makes you look into units specifically to provide you with greater knowledge.

Yes
Great company to work for, with plenty of support provided. Feel safe on site as all follow health and safety regulations.
Make sure you are well prepared for interviews with examples on how you work effectively in a time and problem solving as this is important within a manufacturing company.
