  • There are some lovely people I have befriended however a lot of sexist and homophobic comments that have been made throughout the time I’ve been here.

  • I feel that specialisation does not have much structure where no one knows what is happening and the expectations are not clear at times.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I feel in the Babcock dockyard I would be able to access more support. I feel that this is colleges weak area and they are not very discreet about resolving issues.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • When completing units if feel like for a large amount we haven’t been taught and we are expected to know it even if we have no background experience so we are expected to Google and teach ourselves.

  • I feel that it is too soon to decide whether it has helped me in my role.

  • No in college but in Babcock dockyard you have a network for communities and support.

  • I would to a male friend I would make sure they are prepared for homophobic comment and if recommending to a female friend I would say things to prepare them to deal with sexist and homophobic comments.
