Fitting and maintaining mechanical systems within Faslane.
Learned an array of skills in terms of using tools and equipment, problem solving in engineering and how different systems work.
I enjoy the fact I have learned so much in a short space of time and can see the progression I have made since I started.
The programme is well organised with a clear structure of who to contact when help and advice is required. Also monthly tasks are set which gives a clear path of progression.
All the support I need. Whether it is time to do coursework or a chance to change rolls temporarily to gather different evidence.
I am given a great amount of support that gives me the confidence to carry out new parts of training and learning on my own initiative.
The qualification gives me a theoretical background of how systems should work in an ideal world and a general understanding so that I am not going into tasks in work blind.
There are lots of extra curricular activities that are available to benefit myself and opportunities such as becoming a STEM ambassador.
