  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • The Client Service Delivery Specialist is primarily responsible for managing the workflow and ensuring all other parties have completed their areas of responsibility within the expected timeline. Requiring high attention to detail, to ensure evidence of cover and invoices are produced accurately and within the important metric targets set to deliver outset. I focus on coordinating the technical requirements, and some less complex elements, of the placement process. I interface extensively with the Aon Network, clients, insurers, brokers, Client Service Delivery Technicians, the Tax Team, Broking Support (both the onshore and offshore) and Xchanging (query resolution).

  • Skills I have learnt/developed are: - Organisation - My knowledge of the insurance market, specifically marine - Presentational skills - Attention to detail

  • So far I am enjoying learning about insurance and I've felt supported from day one of the apprenticeship

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think it could be better as there have had issues where tasks we have been set to do are not relevant to my role at Aon.

  • The support has been great, I am always given the necessary time to complete tasks or revise for exams.

  • As much as I need really.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Both my role at Aon and my apprenticeship go hand in hand so I find things I learn through Davies help my performance at Aon and things I learn while working help me understand exam questions better.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, and management have been very keen to get me involved and meet other colleagues.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because I have been made to feel like more than just a number in a large organisation, the colleague experience is one of the main focusses and it really makes a difference in your attitude to work.

  • Be yourself and be honest about what you want from a role at Aon.
