  • Somewhat agree. At times it is long hours and high stress situations, but in most the good weighs out the bad.

  • Rather well organized - clear pathway. However due to the size of the firm, the process is sometimes too centralised to accommodate for personal circumstances.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Lots of support. There is a counseling manager who I have bi-weekly catch ups with who is there to understand and back my corner.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Kaplan provides as much support as you push and need. There is access to study sessions and tutors for any help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that my qualification has helped me establish myself within my position and has given me knowledge on areas on audit which otherwise I would struggle with.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is networking events through ICAEW. Within EY Cambridge there is also charitable events such as Bingo, Bake Sales and team games. There is also a 'Family Day' where everyone comes together once a month.

  • Yes

  • Excellent pathway to become a chartered accountant.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Research the types of industry/clients the target office has and bring these case studies into your interview.
