  • I am an apprentice paralegal in the transactional real estate sector meaning I do legal work in the commercial property area working with colleagues in a wide range of specialised areas including agriculture/rural and development.

  • I have developed my organisational skills and improved my time management. I have learnt lots of new skills as part of my role.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My programme has allowed me to consistently develop my skill set and apply my knowledge across a wide range of activities. It has been a very enjoyable experience so far.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I work Monday - Thursday and get my study day every Friday so I can allocate the appropriate time towards my academic qualifications. However I have the flexibility to change the day I study in the week if I need to.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Everyone is welcoming and always gives you the opportunity to ask questions. My manager has been incredibly supportive and regularly makes contact to check I am okay and have the right level of work. She also offers advice with areas of my study when needed.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have regular meetings every 6 weeks with my coach to discuss the work and any questions I may have. She discusses with me how I am progressing through the course and gives feedback on areas of improvement.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification has been sculpted in a way that it requires you to utilise the work you complete in your job role to identify how you comply with the requirements of the course.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are some social activities however these are currently reduced at the moment due to Covid restrictions and policy's but I am hopeful they will reduce in the future and allow for more social events to take place.

  • Yes

  • Make sure you show your personality in the interview, that is what makes you unique and helps to ensure you stand out amongst other applicants.
