I am an apprentice paralegal in the transactional real estate sector meaning I do legal work in the commercial property area working with colleagues in a wide range of specialised areas including agriculture/rural and development.
I have developed my organisational skills and improved my time management. I have learnt lots of new skills as part of my role.
My programme has allowed me to consistently develop my skill set and apply my knowledge across a wide range of activities. It has been a very enjoyable experience so far.
I work Monday - Thursday and get my study day every Friday so I can allocate the appropriate time towards my academic qualifications. However I have the flexibility to change the day I study in the week if I need to.
Everyone is welcoming and always gives you the opportunity to ask questions. My manager has been incredibly supportive and regularly makes contact to check I am okay and have the right level of work. She also offers advice with areas of my study when needed.
I have regular meetings every 6 weeks with my coach to discuss the work and any questions I may have. She discusses with me how I am progressing through the course and gives feedback on areas of improvement.
My qualification has been sculpted in a way that it requires you to utilise the work you complete in your job role to identify how you comply with the requirements of the course.
There are some social activities however these are currently reduced at the moment due to Covid restrictions and policy's but I am hopeful they will reduce in the future and allow for more social events to take place.
