  • I am currently working as an Area Leader which means I am in charge of a group of people either production, drive thru or front. I must ensure we operate efficiently and am in charge of DPSC.

  • I have learnt how to manage people and several job specific skills.

  • I enjoy that every day is different and the people I work with are all amazing.

  • It is very well organised, there is a clear hierarchy and career progression.

  • My employer is very supportive and we work together to make sure I am on track.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My relationship with the training provider had a rocky start as I never spoke to the same person more than once and they made quite a lot of mistakes with my application. Even now, it seem rather difficult to schedule meetings.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think it is providing me with the relevant information to perform managerial duties.

  • I am a crew story teller which involves promoting Ourlounge to crew.

  • Yes

  • It is a friendly, flexible working environment and the more effort you put in the better the outcome.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • Be prepared for hard work! You will often be tired after your shifts so may end up doing apprenticeship learning on your day off but stick with it because it will be worth it in the end.
