I deal with a wide variety of tasks every day, to help support Sky's employees. We deal with any details they need changed, ranging from simple name changes, to salary changes. We also process special types of leave for the employee, such as maternity leave. We also send references out for employee's that are leaving.
During my time at sky, I have learnt and developed a lot of new, helpful skills. My confidence and communication have came on miles. I have also developed very good timekeeping and problem solving skills. The most important skill at Sky I have developed during my time here is my IT skills
I have really enjoyed my programme. It has gave me the opportunity to get involved in things that I would not have done if I was just a standard employee at Sky. This includes moving about different teams, carrying out different tasks, and taking part in a couple big projects.
The programme is structured very well. The college and and my employer work really closer together and with me to ensure i have everything I need to complete any new tasks I get. The tasks are clearly set out every month with clear deadlines for me to work towards meeting.
The support From my employer is more than I could possibly ask for. They give me sufficient set aside time every week to focus on my apprenticeship. If I ever need more time to complete these, they are more than happy to give me it. If I need to cover something workwise so that I can write about it in my unit statements, they also provide me with the necessary as soon as possible.
The support I receive from my training provider is also amazing. They set up a call with me every month to give me my tasks and talk me through any issues I may have. If something comes up between these calls, they make sure to let me know that I can ask for help at any time.
I feel it really improves my performance in my team. Due to getting to experience lots of different teams, I learn lots of new things and different ways of working, as well as constantly meeting new people who are always willing to help. these have all really helped my confidence with the work I am producing.
Sky has so many different teams that you are really encouraged to get involved in. There is also a massive amount of diversity within in these, there are groups aimed to support LGTBQ+, womens equality, minorities, and religious groups. There are also groups aimed purely at increasing you network, by getting to know others within Sky.
Yes
I would recommend Sky to absolutely, and it by far the best employer I have ever worked for. They really do show how much they care and value you. No matter what your background is, Sky treat everyone the same. On top of this the benefits and support packages are amazing.
I would recommend they get to know the Sky Values which you can find on their website. Our entire job revolves around these values and Sky strive to meet them in everything that we do. Sky want to know more about what you are like as a person than your qualifications, so just be yourself.
