I am currently in the Structural Design team for Power T&D. This involves modelling and running the towers and checking they are structurally okay.
I have learnt in this team how to use PLS-Tower confidently enough to be working live projects and helping in the team.
I enjoy my program as I feel very supported as an apprentice within the team by my colleagues. They ensure that I have enough work to keep me busy but not too much where I feel overwhelmed.
My program is well structured. I am currently on a rotation programme within the office moving around to each team every year to be able to understand what being in each team consists of. This is also helpful for after my apprenticeship to decide which team to go into.
A lot of the work in uni has helped me understand more what we are already doing at work.
Yes
