I support people in the community, primarily people with a diagnoses of autism, mental health condition or learning disability. This support is focused on independent living skills, social isolation reduction and looking for meaningful activities
Throughout my time here, I have learned how to be self-reliant when lone working, to be flexible with my time and how to work within a support team . I have learned how to complete work plans, risk assessments and how to access training services.
It has been very good to provide a good baseline understanding of the role and the wider social care sector.
