My day to day role involves a home service utilising WiFi, monitoring and fixing broadband issues and phone lines. We also do installation and master socket relocations or anything that will help the customer get the most from their package.
I have learnt loads of new skills including replacing master sockets, installing and maintaining phoneLines, techniques on WiFi utilisation and have already completed multiple courses including customer service, driving assessments and combi ladder training.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience, both apprenticeship wise and in the field training. I got to work with almost all members of my team while training and have been made to feel welcome by all. My team lead has been great and my tutor alike.
I’ve had a set schedule from day one and have known when and where I’m supposed to be at all times aswel as having clear deadlines for assignments and had the relevant time given to me by Sky to complete this.
A great amount of support has been given to me, I Seetec tutor is always available when I have any queries and my team lead has been extremely accommodating to me with study time or to answer any questions I’ve had about my role.
Seetec have been quality in supporting me towards my qualifications. Every time I’ve been stuck or unsure I have not hesitated to contact my tutor as he’s very approachable and he has got back to me in a timely manor.
My course is very relevant to my actual role and doing it alongside my role has been very beneficial as I’ve used techniques learnt through training in my role and so far so good.
Sky has an abundance of opportunities to network and encourages you to stand out and pursue anything you see and like in the company. I’ve also already been to a Christmas party at a comedy club and played football with colleagues.
Yes
I would have no hesitation in recommending Sky to a friend as it is a really positive workplace which makes you feel appreciated. You have incentives for doing a good job and I have yet to meet a person within Sky who hasn’t been personable yet still professional.
Do it now, you won’t regret it. If you are a hard worker and positive you will fit right in and the Sky is the limit ( no pun intended ).
