My main role is as breakfast chef My job is to cook all hot food for hotel guests as well as members of the public from the street I also clean the kitchen and prep stock as well as help put stock away on delivery day also I pot wash making sure that all the kitchen is ready for lunch
Yes I have learned how to use and maintain veryiose peaces of kitchen equipment including two types of rashanal ovens I have also learned how to produce three different menus since I started work for the company not including breakfast I can make most dishes unsupported but some lunch items Im still learning
My appretiship has been very insightful iv learned a lot about myself and am now more confident in my job roll I also really enjoy the one to one's iv had some very helpful tutors who have helped to make the course memorable and enjoyable I fell in very well sepported
Very well organised I have a clear understanding of the schedule and the program its very easy now iv had time to better understand the resources available to me and also its been very flexible around work life as well as my personal life and would recommend that all staff try it
All and any support I need is avaliable to me I am able to use compony equipment if I need to and any in the job training I need gas been supported well by my kitchen manager who is happy to be flexible with hours if I need time for exams ect.
Loads I have had a couple of tutors in the time I have been on the course both of with have been very helpful and supportive ready to help with any questions iv had and encouraged to aim high and help me to not get overwhelmed by anything iv been unsure of
It has greatly improved my confidence in the kitchen everything I do from cooking and plating food to completeing of paperwork I feel that I can do upto a high standers and i am confident in taking charge and supporting others in my team in a leadership role if required
Sometimes as a company we have had a few nights out a meal or an activity like bowling to bring us closer as a team and as a learning activity such as a po quiz and we are given challenges to complete such as up selling and we are rewarded on the achievers app

It's a great company with lots of opportunities to work and grow with lots of perks for employees including good rates of pay above the minimum wage and discounts on food and accommodation as well as ensentives like vouchers for recognised work also lots of options available for gaining qualifications
Work hard but enjoy the job it's a great opportunity for you to move up in the hospitality industry and there's great support with learning opportunities to learn a new trade or improve on your experience and you feel great when you get recognised for your hard work
