Overall I enjoy my role in the company as I find my day to day tasks interesting and always different. My day to day involves running and controlling the different plants on site
I have learnt many new skills whilst on my apprenticeship, such as the running of plants via the DCS system, or the hands on experience outside interacting with the plants
I enjoy the program I partake in at work, as it allows me to always improve my knowledge and skills relating to my job and role in the company
As an apprentice that worked through the covid lockdowns I feel as if it is a very well structured and ran program, with all required support from both work and college
I receive all support I require from work if I feel it is necessary, with many people I am able to ask in the circumstances, such as managers or apprentice managers
Whilst in college I was able to get any help I needed via talking to tutors or course managers and felt they were always willing to help
My qualifications help me to perform better in my role as it gives me background knowledge and technical explanations to the equipment and processes I see at work
At solenis we have a sports and social club with monthly offers for the staff, including apprentices
Yes
It is a well rounded company looking to bring younger people into the industry through a well ran apprenticeship program and giving all support asked for from the apprentices and personnel
expect every day to be different when at work, and that it may look daunting when you first turn up and see the plants, but it comes around easy and quick enough.
