My position is within the Accident & Health team and my role is client service delivery. In this role it is really important in supporting the brokers and ensuring we provide our clients with the best service. Tasks can include admin, endorsements, slips, invoicing, client set ups, queries and much more on the technical side. In terms of day-to-day basis this is always changing and every day is different for me.
I think since joining Aon I have developed massively as a person improving a range of skills such as organisation, communication and time management. I feel the environment has allowed me to learn new ways of working and this has boosted my confidence in the last six months. For example, I have improved my organisation by balancing CII exams and a workload.
Since joining Aon I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme and am at a company where I feel happy and welcomed. I really enjoy the everyday tasks I do some of which are quite interesting and I like the team environment I work in. It has exceeded my expectations and is something that has helped me massively.
I feel my programme is well organised. This is because the induction was valuable and gave great insight into the insurance industry, which made me feel more confident when starting my actual role. We receive good training and I feel have had good support and time to study. I have also had several meetings with my team and coach which have been great.
I feel I have experienced different levels of support from different people. My manager has supported me in different ways by pointing me in the right direction of others such as past apprentices. My connector has been great and allowed me much needed time to study. My team is happy for me to study and being given this time has been key.
The training provider has been great so far and has answered all questions when I've been unsure. My learning coach has provided valuable support where he has talked through work that I need support on or don't really understand. Davies always seem happy to help and have offered good guidance towards tasks.
I feel the qualification through the training provider has definitely allowed me to perform better in my role. This is because I have learnt so much about the insurance industry which I wouldn't of known before and through having this knowledge it has allowed me to feel more confident in my role.
Since joining Aon it has been nice to get involved in team events such as meals, day outs and drinks. I feel due to COVID activities such as sports teams and other social events have been limited. When not at work I like all kinds of sports and meeting my friends.
Yes
I would recommend Aon to a friend because I really enjoy the company where I am at as I feel I am learning everyday and getting to meet new people. The company has a nice culture and is very client driven and offer various different opportunities that I'd love to pursue.
The Aon application process can be long but I would tell others to keep going as it is completely worth it. I would say to be confident and to portray yourself as you and ensure you ask lots of questions. By showing an interest will definitely allow you to understand Aon further and develop your knowledge.
