  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My position is within the Accident & Health team and my role is client service delivery. In this role it is really important in supporting the brokers and ensuring we provide our clients with the best service. Tasks can include admin, endorsements, slips, invoicing, client set ups, queries and much more on the technical side. In terms of day-to-day basis this is always changing and every day is different for me.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I think since joining Aon I have developed massively as a person improving a range of skills such as organisation, communication and time management. I feel the environment has allowed me to learn new ways of working and this has boosted my confidence in the last six months. For example, I have improved my organisation by balancing CII exams and a workload.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel my programme is well organised. This is because the induction was valuable and gave great insight into the insurance industry, which made me feel more confident when starting my actual role. We receive good training and I feel have had good support and time to study. I have also had several meetings with my team and coach which have been great.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I feel I have experienced different levels of support from different people. My manager has supported me in different ways by pointing me in the right direction of others such as past apprentices. My connector has been great and allowed me much needed time to study. My team is happy for me to study and being given this time has been key.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider has been great so far and has answered all questions when I've been unsure. My learning coach has provided valuable support where he has talked through work that I need support on or don't really understand. Davies always seem happy to help and have offered good guidance towards tasks.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Since joining Aon it has been nice to get involved in team events such as meals, day outs and drinks. I feel due to COVID activities such as sports teams and other social events have been limited. When not at work I like all kinds of sports and meeting my friends.
