Maintaining CHP plants (combined heat and power) by looking after boilers which supply steam to the rest of the site, if there is a problem it is our job to fix the boilers/ rest of the problems
I have learnt hands on skills and how to use tools to fix mechanical problems
I really enjoy my apprenticeship and I always have support when learning new things
very well, Mon-Friday 8-4 job with a team of 5 people who are always helping keep the plant well maintained and helping me progress my apprenticeship to the next level
I receive plenty of support of my managers and shift worker and I feel I could go to them about work/home related problems
